A unique Professional Learning opportunity for teachers, speech pathologists, psychologists, researchers and policy makers to hear an internationally acclaimed literacy expert, researcher and author.

Maryanne Wolf, Director of the Center for Reading and Language and Associate Professor of Child Development at Tufts University, received her doctorate from Harvard University where she began her work in cognitive neuroscience and developmental psycholinguistics on the reading brain, literacy’s development, and dyslexia. Her many awards include the International Dyslexia Association’s highest honours and recipient of the 2016 LDA AJLD Eminent Researcher Award. She is the author of over 140 scientific publications and of RAVE-O, an intervention program for struggling readers. Her popular book Proust and the Squid: The Story and Science of the Reading Brain, describes the way our reading brain has developed and explores the implications for today’s children who function in a technology-driven society.
